Description
Aurifil Cotton Mako thread is made in Italy using the best extra long staple Egyptian cotton making it strong, smooth and relatively fuzz free. Aurifil 50wt thread is thinner than usual cotton threads and is extremely strong.
This a large spool with 1300m (1422 yards) of thread, which is more than you’ll need for most quilting projects.
50 weight threads are ideal for:
- Machine and hand piecing: great results with a nice flat seams every time.
- Machine quilting: perfect for quilting that creates texture while blending into the quilt top.
- Machine appliqué: ideal when a very fine finish is desired. This weight blends well so your fabric is the feature.
- Machine embroidery: great results every time, and can be used in the bobbin too.
